The leader in Movement, Nutrition and Mindfulness education for kids

Before and after school care that equips kids to lead
healthy, happy lives

The Kids’ Adventures before and after school program is more than just a safe place for kids to go while parents’ are at work. We offer a structured environment that enhances classroom learning through education and activities in the areas of movement, nutrition and mindfulness. Our programs focus on social and emotional learning, how to make good nutritional choices, how to manage stress and conflict, and the importance of incorporating physical movement into everyday life.

In short, the Kids’ Adventures Program gives kids the structure, knowledge and tools to create healthy, happy and productive lives.

“Kids Adventures provides before and after school care that goes well beyond the scope of a traditional childcare setting. They are committed to supporting core values such as wellness, academics and parent engagement. Their staff is well trained and they have quickly acclimated to our philosophic approaches.”

Sonia Sisneros, SOAR Deputy Director

Not your average before and after school care program

Our programs are uniquely structured to incorporate homework help, plenty of exercise, lessons in nutrition and brain-based mindfulness activities like these…

After-school students receive active assistance in completing their homework in a quiet setting. Kids' Adventures staff correspond on a monthly basis with classroom teachers to ensure homework is complete and turned in on time. Monthly prizes and parties are earned by children who complete homework.

Designed to enhance creativity, arts and crafts activities teach originality and the ability to let the imagination run free. Participation in arts and crafts projects helps raise self-esteem while refining motor skills and the ability to focus. It also teaches students

Kids participate daily in a variety of physical activities aimed to promote teamwork and self-esteem. Sports such as basketball, soccer, and flag football are organized and help develop good sportsmanship. All activities are well supervised to promote brain stimulation and improve motor skills.

Excursions such as swimming, skating or amusement parks give children the opportunity to try new things while visiting places they normally don't see. During these events, students interact with their peers in a public setting while exploring Colorado's wide array of educational and play facilities.

We incorporate activity-based learning into our programming with games that are both mentally challenging and physically stimulating. Some examples include:

  • Walking on a balance beam while focusing on a fixed, eye-level point and skip-counting or spelling
  • Jumping in place while moving arms into four sequential positions and counting patterns of numbers
  • Stimulating the inner ear's balancing mechanism by jumping in a sequential pattern of 1/4- and 1/2- turns while focusing on fixed points

“Kids’ Adventures provides not only quality care but educational support and social emotional support for my daughters. They are like their own little family and they support one another and have so much fun! They are responsive and flexible to meet the needs of the school. I can say without reservation that KA is a top choice provider!”

- Garrett Rosa, Parent and School Principal

"I absolutely love Kids’ Adventures. Every time I am there the staff is positive and upbeat. As a working mom, it can sometimes be difficult to drop your kids off before you head to work; but my son is always happy when I drop him off and pick him up, which always just makes the whole process so much more enjoyable. There is always so many interactive things for the kids to do, and I always feel that my child is in professional and capable hands. I would recommend this program to anyone!"

Jennifer Ewing English Department Chair, Palmer Ridge High School

"“We are especially thankful for the summer program schedule that includes field trips, swimming, and sports days. When both parents in the home work this service is invaluable, and keeps our children engaged in their community surroundings. We appreciate the countless hours it must take to coordinate events and services like these for so many children, and absolutely support efforts to continue this process. Likewise, the after school homework program alleviates stressful hours at home working and provides our family with quality time to enjoy each other. In short, we love KA and the impact it has on our children and our family.”"
